Ok exactly what amount is Sufficant Funds???
« on: February 28, 2006, 05:16:49 PM »
I posted a message in Welcome Wagon asking advice and was directed here which makes more sense. My boyfriend and I are decided to get married in the states and I have read and searched the sites for days on end and I get all the same statements over and over. the one that I don't have any idea on is what do they actually want to see on sufficant funds in ower accounts. I would hate to get all the paperwork in and find out they do not think we have enough money, and am I right in assuming that a house share is not sufficant living accomidations? Even if we state it is a temperary situation. Now that I think about it there are loads of questions I just don't know what ones are relevant at the moment or better put off at the moment as so I do not feel as over welmed as I am.
Thankful for any advice that can be given.
Cheers all

A house share is fine as long as you have the permission of the owner and the place won't be overcrowded.

The amount of money you need is not set out.  You need to just show that you can afford to support yourselves without the need for benefits.
