English wines?
« on: March 03, 2006, 02:07:52 PM »
Yesterday I picked up a bottle of Three Choirs, an English white I'd never heard of or tried before. Has anyone had it? The label was sort of nice, so I thought it might be worth experimenting. Some friends and I are going to taste it later on this afternoon.

Actually, the hummous was a good deal more successful than the English wine.  :P

It wasn't actually as frightful as I thought it might be. Not dry ... not sweet ... just sort of flowery tasting. One friend said it tasted like an English hedgerow! That was very complimentary, but also quite accurate. It tasted slightly like elderflowers.
