I'm not sure if this has been posted but wanted to share about this deal I've found. My wife is going to be in London for 3 months, so we've been trying to find out the cheapest way to stay in touch.
I discovered that T-Mobile UK has an International Bundle you can add on to contract or pay as you go accounts that give you 50 minutes of calling to the USA or Canada for 2 pounds, which works out to 4 pence per minute, which seems to be a really good deal, especially for calling from a mobile.

You have to be careful though as if you use up your bundle, the minutes will start costing 90p per min. So you have to make sure you always have enough International Bundle minutes on your account.
