Has anyone successfully gotten ILR with less than the 20 pieces of name/address documentation required?

I have a few months to go, but I am starting to compile what I need.  We have plenty of documentation with both of our names for Year 2, but my Year 1 paperwork is spotty.  For Year 1 I have:

-NOTHING with both of our names (largely because we could not prove my address to get added to my husband's bank account-- it all goes in circles!)

-tons with just my husband's name, including lease, council tax, bank, bills, etc

Douments with my name on the approved list:
-NHS card (not sure if I will be able to keep the original, as we moved and must change doctors)
-NIN interview letter from Social Security Office
-different NIN interview letter from Job Centre Plus office
-2 letters from Inland Revenue

Documents with my name NOT on the approved list but seem official:
-letter about tax refund from US IRS
-2 letters from the University of Essex (my employer)
-2 letters from Binghamton University, USA (where I was a student)

I was not on the lease or council tax for the first year and, as previously mentioned, could not get on the bank account.

Also none of the documents with my name are from before November, although I moved over here in July.  Will this be a problem?

Has anyone applied with a similar package?  What were your results? 

Is it possible to include any kind of supplementary documentation, like a letter from employer or such stating that you were known to have lived there for a certain period?

My advice would be throw in anything you have with your name and address,,credit card bills,letters from the hospital/GP and etc

The answer is yes, it is possible to make the application with fewer than 20 pieces of evidence - I have done this for clients in the recent past.  They do make allowances providing that there is clear evidence from official sources spanning the whole of the two years.

Do include stuff not on the approved list, such as mobile phone bills, franked envelopes address to you, gym membership forms, anything like that.

If there is nothing at all with your name on it from before November, then it is likely that they will only look at the two years from having started then.

I can not find anything from before Nov!  Not even an evelope from a letter from my mom.  I didn't know I should be saving these things.

So you think they would want me to apply for FLR and then apply for ILR after Nov?  Very expensive.

I thik that you may be refused if you apply for ILR with no evidence that you were here from July.

Why did you not register with a doctor or for council tax?

Just ignorance and laziness.  I didn't need a doctor unti Nov so I didn't register with one until then, and we were saving money by not putting my name on the council tax and lease.  Didn't know it would matter later.  Plus we were hoping to move back to the US in Aug 2005-- it wasn't until Jan or so that we realized that was not going to happen.  I received plenty of personal mail and several letters from the bank saying that they would not give me an account without additional proof of ID, but never thought to save any of this!

Of course my passport has stamps from July, that doesn't count for anything?  We took 4 trips between July and Nov, so I have entry stamps to the UK for Ireland for each.

Would it help to get some kind of letter from my husband's boss (university lecturer) or someone to say that they knew me to be living here since July?

OK, I dug up a few more things:

3 invoices from things I bought online and had delivered to my house (July, Aug, and Sept. 2004), 2 of these were printed online

a letter from the car insurance addressed to my husband, but also listing my name as a driver (Oct 2004)

2 photocopies of letters from the Royal College of Art regarding a job I applied for there (Oct 2004)

Do you think these would siginificantly help my application?  If I don't feel fairly confident about getting the ILR, then rather than waste £500 trying, I will apply for the EEA family permit instead.
