Walking across the United States!  I can dig it. :)
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in...

- from Anthem, by Leonard Cohen (b 1934)

He was on the Today show this morning.

His story is very sad but also I think it showed great determinantion...He said his life went into a downward spiral a few years ago because he accidentally killed an elderly couple with his car.  He was charged with involuntary manslaughter.  He said after that happend he became severely depressed and started comfort eating - I think he was over 400 lbs at one point.  His wife and him were having trouble and at Christmas, she told him she wanted a divorce.

He said something that stuck with me this morning - Everyone needs to take a long walk sometimes to gain perspective.

I was very impressed with his determination and spirit.  It was an inspiring story and many lessons can be learned from it.  I wish I had that kind of willpower!
