Money Money Money
« on: March 10, 2006, 12:09:05 AM »
Is it just me or am I the only one running to get everything paid for my wedding.  Everytime I turn around we need more money.  All I want to do is get married but everytime I turn around something is going wrong or I have to solve something else.  Does  ;)anyone have any advice/tips or stories about some of their wedding mishaps.  Right now the big problem is getting my family and friends from the airport to my fiancee's house.  Seeing that he has a small car and works most days and we don't really have a lot of money to spend on a taxi.  Ahh Help!

Hey Zuesy

Got no help, Got no tips, Got no money, Got my Smile ;D

No seriously I can't really offer any advice unless you mean aberdeen airport or at a real push Turnhouse, then I could help transport people. I know what your feeling. You miss most of what's going, well not miss, just everything is a whirlwind. It'll work out.

My second wedding was in the middle of one of the heaviest monsoon rains that season, the roads were deeply flooded. It was a nightmare trying to keep dry. But supposedly it is good luck for rain on a wedding day in Burma.

Buy a lotto ticket...who knows, its only one quid (but if you do and win, you gotta invite me too) :D
Still tired of coteries and bans. But hanging about anyway.

Could you rent a a van for a day? Or use public transport?

Good luck :)

Let's take our wigs off in the shopi aisle and fight it out.

Ha Ha,

Lotto ticket???  Now's that'a a plan, unfortunatly what I did was a get a third job (yippy who needs sleep?  Certainly not me)

I guess we could rent a van, but there is more money that we dont' have.  I was just griping.  I know weddings cost money I just didn't expect all the little stuff, plus I am moving the month before so that is extra added burden.  I know everything will work out I just wanna know how!!!

Thanks everyone

For our wedding, we rented a small coach for the day to collect everyone from the airport.  Since all of the flights were landing early in the morning, our friends and family couldn't even check-in to the hotel that early; so we had made arrangements for the coach to drive around Edinburgh and see the sites.  Amazingly, the company that we hired from only wanted payment on the day, instead of the usual wedding stuff of "immediate deposit, plus balance in full four weeks prior."
