This link was posted on another board.  You can type in any address, or even just the town and state (US only) and find out if there's any registered sex offenders in the area--and where (and who) they are.

Kind of scary, in a sense, but-- I think-- useful if you are looking into where you might live in future...  (or where you are at present.)
