Anyone had problems at Manchester airport?
« on: March 21, 2006, 01:30:09 PM »
I'm flying into Manchester in two weeks to visit my boyfriend. I've visited three times in the last two years. This will be the first time I fly into Manchester, and my fourth stamp.
I just read a post on another site about a girlfriend who got refused for a one week visit due to the "Nature of her relationship with the boyfriend". Seems rather harsh to me. Of course, I'm in panic mode now. Anyone else had any nightmare experiences in Manchester?
By the way, only going for 6 days.

When I was dating DH, I flew into Manchester three times within a year.  No problems then, or since. :)

Good luck - you'll be fine - and be very grateful you're not flying into Gatwick or Heathrow.

I can vouch for this...I came last year 5 times in the course of 7 months!!!! All of which were to visit my brit bf and each time I got questioned, I was honest and was never even detained. As long as you are straightforward, honest and are leaving and have a reason to go home and are not yet engaged, you'll be fine.

Enjoy the trip!
