I attended Stirling University and if you're asking about campus housing, where you live sort of depends on what type of course you're taking -- are you an undergrad or a postgrad? As a postgrad, I lived in Alangrange, which was pretty nice -- a big old house up on a hill behind the uni, technically in Bridge of Allan. That accommodation was nice, as you pretty much get your own room, have access to a kitchen/fridge/laundry on premises, some parking, and heating/electricity is included. Also, campus is only 10 minutes' walk away or so, it's close to public transportation and it is in a very scenic area.
There is also John Forty's Court, which is mostly undergrads, but some postgrads, as well as Lyon Crescent, where you would share a smaller house with a few other students, though electricity is not included and you would need to purchase cards for that. The area near Lyon Crescent is ok, but not as great, as if I recall correctly, there is a ladies' detention center nearby.
Your other option would be to rent a flat in the town center or nearby Bridge of Allan, although that could be quite pricey. Perhaps you could check the bulletin boards on campus, though, and see if other students are seeking a flatmate -- that would certainly help you cut costs.
Your options really depend on what your circumstances are.
