I got it!!!
« on: April 20, 2006, 05:38:29 PM »
We had our appointment at the NYC consulate this morning.  I was nervous but it turned out to be pretty easy.  I had a whole bunch of paperwork but all they asked to see was the application (duh), marriage certificate, our passports, proof of accommodation, proof of funds and my husband's CV.  I guess we needed a letter of support from him even though he was right there with me but him verbally accepting the terms was enough to cover that base.  We were 3rd in line at 9am so it was pretty quick.  After the "interview", we were told to come back in an hour (10:30am) to pick up my passport with the visa in it.  I'm so glad this is done!  I am coming to the UK next week!!!  ;D

Congratulations!!  Very happy for you!  I'm still on cloud nine!  ;D
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.
