I have looked through this board and can't find anything to help me. I've only filed 1040 EZ for the last few years and have been able to do that online...now that I've gotten married and moved to the UK my situation has totally changed and I am utterly confused by all the info. on here.
I moved over in October 2005, started a job on a casual basis (meaning I have no set income in the UK, I just fill in for people and work odd days/hours) and I think I've made about £195 in total. I have a W-2 form for a job I had in the US from January 2005 - February 2005 (before I left the US and came to the UK for 6 months as a visitor). My wages amounted to $3,000.
I don't think I've been here 330 days or whatever, but I am a resident in the UK. Do I still file form 1040 EZ? Or 1040? And exactly which form do I file for the foreign thingy if I've been here only since October as a resident? If someone could spell it out for me using very simple terms I would be greatful. At this point I would like to file an extension and send it to London by tomorrow, does anybody know exactly the form I use for that?? Oh lord...
