Do I need a Visa?

I am married to a British national. I am also a teacher (high-need job in the UK). Do I need a Visa or will my passport be good enough? Will I need a work permit? Can you tell me where to get whatever it is that I need?

If you're relocating to the U.K., you'll need a Spouse Visa before coming over.  I *think* that since you've been married 5 years, you can get immediate Indefinite Leave to Remain instead of the 2-year Further Leave.

Coming in on the Spouse Visa, you'll be able to work immediately.
