how about tmj? can treatment/meds for that be free? i think after spending $15,000 in the past year to try to make it better, i deserve a freaking break!  :P

You should get a break.  A big break. £93.20 vs $15K

I can't find anything stating any exclusions for getting this PPC Prescription Prepayment Certificate.
Still tired of coteries and bans. But hanging about anyway.

Great information. Thank you. I hope to save this topic so I can gather this information. It'll be a slow process when Dan and I afford our home and get settled. :)

I didn't know where to ask so I found my old thread. So I understand that I don't need insurance unless it's for specific medications or if I want to stay in a particular hospital. Should I expect anything different if I'm living with my boyfriend? If we need insurance for specific reasons, is it ok since we're not married? You know what I mean? ???

morning- whether or not you are entitled to free medical treatment in the UK depends on the type of visa you have.  if you're coming over as a visitor, technically you're not entitled to any free treatment.

but if you come over on a fiance, work, marriage, student, settlement visa, then you're entitled to free treatment.  does this answer your question?

If you are here as a visitor, you are NOT entitled to NHS treatment w/o paying for it.  And please understand that NHS treatment is not  'free'.  It is paid for by the taxpayer in their NI contributions.
