Train from Dublin to Belfast?
« on: June 16, 2006, 01:19:44 AM »
HI guys.  I know from one of my books that there is a train from Dublin to Belfast.  What I'm wondering is:  how far is the Dublin airport from that train station?
Thanks,
Michele

I just Googled.

You need to take a shuttlebus to the train station.

You are far better taking the bus that picks up outside Jury's Inn, it goes straight to the airport, is not very expensive and is fairly comfortable. You can do that or Ulsterbus at the bus station at the Europa, which is a little more expensive than the Jury's bus and a little more crowded, but also drops you off right at the airport. If you take the train you aren't near the airport at all when you arrive in Dublin.

Aircoach is the best way.  It does leave from Connelly Station as well (where the Enterprise service from Belfast Arrives).  I think it is like €12 these days.  Or €20 round trip, but I maybe off.  A taxi ride is like €40-€50 these days.

Walking to and from the Belfast Train station is fairly easily to most parts of city centre Belfast, though the easiest and quickest way is about a £5-£8 trip to most places in City Centre Belfast.

:-*Thanks all!  I just talked to my exchange teacher (got to love Skype) and she agreees that Aircoach is the way to go.  Thanks again for helping to put a puzzle piece in place for this trip!
