Are there any decent ones out there?

I've never gone for the alcohol-free wines (or beers) because they all generally have a certain percentage, however miniscule, of alcohol in them.

But we do enjoy things like Ame--which comes in a variety of flavours, is slightly sparkling and delicious.   It's packaged like a wine and has a crisp, clean taste, not too sweet.

I agree. I'd be more likely to try something like Amé or Shloer. They have some lovely flavours. There are also nice sippable drinks like organic ginger cordial or elderflower cordial. I always buy a few bottles of those types of things if I'm having a party -- for the drivers -- but I find I really love them too!

Hmm, I always thought alcohol free wine is called grape juice or so they said in church when I was a kid.  ;)

I actually found a completely alcohol free champagne  last year at Sainsbury's that I used when I threw a collegue a baby shower.  It wasn't that bad.  I tend to like things a bit on the sweeter side. In any case, it went down pretty well with everyone! I can't remember the name though.

we have a friend who can't ahve alcohol at all (she has a very bad reaction) and she buys that Ame stuff.  It's very nice and even her half-french wine snob fiance will drink it.
