Unless you are in the jungles you will not see 24 hour rains. Once or twice a day the heavens will open like you've never seen. It'll flood a bit and then an hour later its usually gone.

You will get sun. And as my kids always pointed out, the rain is warm!  ;D

Rain? What rain?  We've been here for a few days, a sprinkle in Bangkok and yesterday it was a bit damp at night.

Today it was sun sun sun (no blue sky, still a bit white but what sun!!) and it's 4:40 and a bit overcast too.

This is an amazingly beautiful place.  The thais are extremely friendly and the resort which has 55 rooms only has 8 filled right now.  we have the place to our selves!  The only bad things is that the water excursions (snorking and diving) are undoable due the rough sea. So it's the pool, elephant trekking, kyaking and pottering aroud Koh Lanta for us!)

Thank goodness the stress was not worth it-i can deal with this and even if we did get more rain-the spa treatments are about 20 quid each (and we have 2 thai massages for free).  WHO can complain??!!!!!! n

yeah, and this little place has not one but two computer terminals for free!!!  Dave and i are sitting in an open air library checking up on email. if only it was like this at home!  8)

it has been magical and today for the first time i'm starting to think about work etc.   :(

but trying to forget about it as we're off on our elephant trek today. and have nothing else planned but some time in the pool

this place is just so chill and cool. i highly recommend it to anyone-meshell is a star for finding it for us

Glad you're having such a great time and the weather has been cooperative!  Thailand sounds awesome...now I really hope we head their next for DF's assignment next year!

Don't bother thinking about work until your flight lands back in the UK - keep having a fantastic time.  It sounds lovely there.   :)
