visa question for newborn
« on: July 15, 2006, 02:38:59 AM »
Hi Everyone,

I have read through the pages here (very interesting info btw :o)....and I have a question that doesn't seem to have been answered.  DH and I will be moving temporarily to the UK in September and I will be 24 weeks pregnant.  I understand that I need to notify the us embassy of the birth as well as apply for a passport for when we travel back to the US (for 10 days) in March 07.  DH and I are travelling on student visas (I am a student, he is dependent spouse) - does anyone know if we will have to apply for a visa for the baby to re-enter the UK after our short trip?  yikes - this scares me - I don't know how we will apply for a visa in 10 days.....

Thank you all for your wisdom and advice ;D

I've moved this to Visas as I think you need more specialist advise

I'm not an expert, but yes I think you're going to have to get a passport and then a  Visa for the baby, although you might be able to get it here.  Not sure though .
