If you are in uk on a work permit can you marry a uk citizen?

yes, as long as you get a certificate of approval from the home office, which costs a bit of money.
Now a triple citizen!

Student visa 9/06-->Int'l Grad Scheme 1/08-->FLR(M) 7/08-->ILR 6/10-->British citizenship 12/12

And your visa is for longer than 6 months.  Don't you also have to have a period of time still left on your visa as well?

I believe you need to have 6 months left on your visa as well.

it's 3 months before expiry, actually- just had a quick look at the IND web site.
Now a triple citizen!
