FLR vs. Spousal Visa

I'll be getting married in the UK sometime in Oct. and I'll be wanting to work... is a spousal visa all i need to be able to work in the UK or do i also need the FLR

FLR is 'Further Leave to Remain', which is just a generic term for all visas which are issued from within the UK.
