How long was it before you met your S.O.?

We starting chatting online in 1998 (he was 16, I was 18) and became good friends.  We spoke on the phone a lot and helped each other through break-ups.  We would go through periods were we wouldn't speak (sometimes for six months), but we always came back to each other and it was like we never stopped speaking, so we knew we were at least great friends.
Anyway, in 2003 I was going through a bad break-up (divorce actually) with someone that I wasn't with for very long, but it was a very hard time and he and his long-term girlfriend just broke up so we spoke a lot and realised we had deep feelings for each other.  On an impulse I asked if he wanted to meet me and fly to America and of course he said yes.  So, he flew out three months later and we've been together since   We saw each other three - four times a year.  We were married in November 2005 and I moved to Scotland a month ago.

Sam and I met online March 2004.  We met in person that June, but weren't ready to tell each other how we felt...for various reasons.  We finally told each other in September and that December I came over to England for two weeks.  And then Sam came over in August of 2005 for about three months.  This Christmas she will be flying over for the holiday with my family, and then she, Abbi and I are going on holiday to Florida....and then lol....we are going back with her to England.  I can't wait!  No more tearful goodbyes!  No more birthdays apart.

We met online in Oct/November 1998 (me 14, him 20). Chatted on AOL every weekend, then turned into every day. Finally called each other around Sept/October 1999. He came to visit me in person for Valentine's Day 2000. So we knew each other online for a year and about 2 months before we met in person  Got engaged three years later (2003) and married on June 10, 2006. And soon I'll be moving over to be with him FOREVER 

We met at a wedding in 2003 (in england for a mutual friend), but relationship didn't kick off until a year and a half later when i was in london visiting family/ friends and he showed up at the pub (again the mutual friend connection - looking back i think we were set up!). 

He walked me back to my cousin's house where we stayed up chatting until i had to get ready to fly back to the states that morning.  Three days later he had tracked my down in the States and after 7 weeks of emailing he came to visit for 4 days.  Dropping him off at the airport after those 4 days was awful.  Cried like a baby and by that evening we were booking our next trip for 5 weeks after that.  That was nearly a year and a half ago and in less than 3 weeks i move to england, but i get to see him in 6 days because he's coming to the states for one of my friends weddings and then we're off for a much needed holiday in the Domincan Republic.

We met online in June 2003 talked everyday on the computer for a couple months. then we started calling each other on a daily basis. we met in person in Dec 2003, I spent 3 weeks over here in England. met his family & friends while I was here spent x-mas day at his parents house. DH came over to see me in mid feb 2004 spent 3 weeks with me met my family & friends. I moved across the pond in July 2004, WE were married in Nov 2004. I shud have my ILR  in Jan 2007 if everything goes along without any hitches. getting my ILR wud make an awesome b/day present for me, my b/day is the end of Jan.
