Your question is referring to the evidence for how you will support yourself, so you only need to show wage slips. I brought 12 months but you need at least the last 3 months. I seem to remember that if you're earning £25K+ then you won't get (m)any questions. If both of you together make more than that then bring both your wage slips.
The reference to bank accounts is to say that if you don't have your wage slips then bank statements will be proof enough that you are receiving a regular wage, so make sure you bring the account into which your wages are paid!!
For proof of residence your wage slips or bank statements can count if they have your address & a date of issue on them (which they surely will!). But, as AZroomie says, they count different bank accounts as one source, so only one bank statement (from any bank) per person per year will be counted.
Having said that if you can turn up with 2 years worth of statements per account it all helps.
