Question about CDs in the UK?
« on: October 09, 2006, 05:26:37 AM »
I apologize if this has already been asked, I couldn't find it.

I have a friend living over in the UK right now, and for Christmas I'm planning on buying him a CD that he really wanted. But I'm buying the CD in the United States. So if I send it to him over in the UK, is it going to be compatible with his CD player?

I know that DVDs have that problem but I wasn't sure about CDs.

Yes. No worries. :)

The specifications for audio CDs are the same the world over, and there is no regional-coding nonsense as with DVDs.

In other words, an audio CD from any country should work perfectly in any CD player.
