Interchange FX vs XE.com
« on: September 10, 2006, 08:55:18 PM »
Hello,
I found this company through Fool.co.uk and it looks quite similar to XE but I wonder if they are similar and how quickly to setup.
Has anyone used them before?  http://www.interchangefx.co.uk/
It says it takes 5 minutes to set up an account.  You can email or fax 2 forms of ID to them and a regular payment Direct Debit can be setup or you can do one-off payments.

Their webpage says it has the folloiwng advantages:

    * Commercial rate of exchange
    * No transfer charges
    * No commission
    * No receiving fees*
    * Automated payment by Direct Debit
    * Fix the exchange rate up to 2 years

Any ideas how good this is?

i don't know about it, but i'm thinking a great idea to hedge the good exchange rate would be to fix the rate on one, and then go variable on another.

Not a bad idea, Aimiloo.  They do say on the website that you can set it to Variable if you contact them.
I'm tempted to give them a try and see how they do.
