We got a letter from the tv license people and kept getting them until we paid.  We were able to pay for the year we were given the option  of paying monthly but we just paid it to get it over with. :D

I hope you don't mean that you paid even though you don't watch TV?

I think that she meant she paid it all at once to get it over with rather than bother with paying it monthly.

We're paying our license and have since we moved here even though we don't officially have a TV. We get a couple fuzzy channels through our computer, but felt it would be easier to pay than have them hassle us!  We pay £32 a month.
