Digital Cam software problems

Ok so we bought a new digital camera. I took some pictures and wanted to put them on the computer but I'm having problems with it. I can't understand what this is saying. :
We are using PhotoImpression 4.0

"Select independant disc at your computer for Digital Video then select 100Media under DCIM file at Digital Video hard disc."

I've tried looking for those but can't find them anywhere!

What operating system are you running and what kind of camera do you have?
