Uni's in or close to London?

Hi, I'm planning to study in the UK after I finish this next semester in college. Problem is, I don't know any good universities. I would like to stay around the London area because I have family there, does anyone have any suggestions?

Any help would be appreciated. :)

What subject are you looking to study?  Will you be looking for a post graduate course or to finish up your bachelors degree in the UK?

The University of London is an umbrella organization that includes a number of London's top unis (UCL, Kings, LSE, Goldsmiths, etc). You might want to start by having a look at their website:

To give better advice, I agree with Karin...you need to give a little more info. Are you coming to study abroad? Undergrad, Postgrad? What subject?

I've studied abroad and done post-grad in London so with a little more info I'd be happy to help.

visit UCAS you'll find out which Universities are out there , what subjects they offer, what requirements you need and where are they located .

Oh sorry, I'm an undergraduate and I'm looking to study nursing.

Also, does anyone know how much it will cost for a US student to study in the UK?

like in the US, it varies. but as you will almost certainly have to pay international fees, it will not be cheap.
