They will find you!!

I pulled out of my drive yesterday and noticed a DVLM van parked across the street. Immediately became paranoid!!  I came home a couple of hours later and my neighbors car was CLAMPED!!  The dumba$$ didn't pay or at the very least wasn't diplaying his tax disc!!  SOooo now he's been clamped and it kind of funny!!  It's almost like a scarlet letter!  Everyone walks by it and stares trying to figure out why he's been clamped then they walk around the car and look on the windscreen then walk away shaking their head. 

Wondering if the TV license people will be around next!!

DVLA just towed the car away!!!  They mean business don't they!!

It's all supposed to be computerised now, isn't it.  I wonder how long you before they clamp?

Noticed another car on my street that had a DVLM clamp on it.  I live in an area of Manchester that's popular w/ students and young professions.  I'm wondering if the DVLM people just decided to hit my street because odds are there would be some people who didn't pay their car tax or if someone reported them??!!??!! 

It's all supposed to be computerised now, isn't it.  I wonder how long you before they clamp?

The other car actually has an expired tax disc and it's from March 06 so it appears they do give you a while before they come and clamp your car.

If you come home and your car isn't there, how do you know it's been towed, as opposed to stolen? Do they send you something in the mail?
