Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia

I just got back from a fabulous trip to these three countries. I couldn't have asked for a better time or better weather! I met some great people too.

Estonia was my absolute favorite and I will definitely be back soon... likely combined with a ferry trip to Finland.  ;D

I would definitely recommend touring this part of the world. It was super easy to get between the countries and since they are part of the EU no visas for Americans but lots of passport stamps between the borders for you stamp collectors!!  ;)

I was there about 4 years ago and I loved all 3 countries.  I didn't actually get around much so I definitely want to go back.  My favorite was Tallinn.

My favorite was Tallinn.

My favorite was Tartu! It is a university town with TWO markets... indoor and outdoor. A. LeCoq brewery tour if you arrive on the right day, lovely town centre and great atmosphere.

Tallinn has a great little old town with meandering streets on a slope. I am happy I went south to north though because all the tourist shops in Tallinn sell things from Estonia, Lativa, Lithuania and Russia and not just the speciality of the area. Good if you held off your shopping until the end though!  ;)
