Mortgage payment calculator
« on: November 08, 2006, 11:26:24 PM »
I know in US it's common. Several website have mortgage payment calculator.

Can some one point out a URL with the same thing for UK?

It would be interesting to know, what would be the monthly payment for example for 150K mortgage (based on % rate).

How difficult for expat with the permanent job in UK get mortgage?

to answer your expat wanting to get mortgage question... there are a couple recent threads here where people were having a hard time getting a mortgage without more than decent deposit and/or ILR.

everyone's experiences are different... not having a ILR does make you a higher flight risk to the lenders.  however, if you have a deposit this counters it (makes the loan/value house ratio lower).

best bet is to find a good mortgage broker that has access to the whole market and can give you independent advice.  i couldn't find one who had experience in non-uk purchasers but was able to finagle a mortgage in the end.  good luck!
If you harbour bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.
