i use uswitch.com  type in where i call over an average month.  i do this every jan for my gas/electric, insurance, phone, internet.  i've used superline, talktalk and now primus.  no problem with any of them.

If you can tolerate talking on a PC microphone and speakers/headset, Skype is only 1.2p/min.  (skype.com)

Also, if you have an Orange mobile monthly contract, you can get free broadband internet access at home and get international calling completely free to 100 countries through a phone plugged into their internet router. (orange.co.uk)
