It is a lovely beach ... but I'm not sure I'd make a special trip here in the winter! I actually do like beaches in wintertime, but it's easy to say that when it's within walking distance. Generally, I'd save my beachy holidays for warmer weather!

Having spent many years in N. California, I'm a big fan of overcast, rocky, foggy beaches.  Yours sounds absolutely perfect for me.
