There is a great meatball recipe on the Atkins website, which combined with a low-carb tomato sauce would make a nice dinner. (I know there's one out there with only like 2 carb grams, but I don't recall which one it is.)
I tried Atkins for a week, but didn't lose any weight, and since you're supposed to lose in the first week I quit. Plus I wanted a drink. Plus I was irritated with eating loose cooked hamburger for dinner.
But I felt good, and was almost never hungry.
See, what I find interesting is, all these diets are low-calorie. Atkins, the Zone, South Beach, whatever...they fill you up with low-cal stuff. Of course people on Atkins consume less calories, because after the third or fourth day you just aren't that hungry. (At least I wasn't. I'd mix a can of salmon with some cream cheese-delicious, btw-and not even finish itcuz I was full.)
So good luck, and like I said the Atkins website has tons of recipes, coded for what phase they are appropriate for.
