We have done geocaching - my oldest brother is really into it.  My husband has a mild passing interest.  I got tired of looking for this cache in Leeds, which must have been in the stinging nettles -- we never found it anyway (and we went several times).  We use our GPS mostly for when we get lost on walks. :P

We did this today! I was so excited when I spied a glimpse of plastic box under an old dead tree! Such a thrill! I think I could seriously turn into a big geek over this. My bf is already a geek, but even he rolled his eyes when we opened the box and saw that a lot of geocachers have laminated 'calling cards' made up with their name on them to leave behind! Others had stickers made that they left in the log book. LOL!

Still, I really enjoyed it!

We found two more geocaches today. Yes, we are now officially geeks. As if there was ever any question.  [smiley=smart.gif]

I had been wanting to get a GPS receiver so my father in law gave his spare one.  It's an old Garmin eTrex Vista but it will serve me just fine.  I had planned on searching for my first cache today but it's been raining  :-\\\\  I can't wait to try it out!

That's great, June!! Where did you go? I don't know about London, but it's so stormy and windy here today that I'm thinking you must have been very brave!

My next goal (when the weather complies) is to hide my first geocache! I can't wait!

It was an alright day here.  Cloudy but no rain.  The cache was in Enfield, about 20 minutes away from here.

Matt decided to join me today.  It was a beautiful day although very muddy due to yesterday's rain.   We had a great time and can't wait to do it again.  It was his first time and when we were done with the second cache he asked me "so, which ones do you wanna do tomorrow??"   ;D

I'm so jealous, June! The weather in these parts has not been cooperating at all. Grrrr... Hopefully next weekend it'll be a little better.

We went out again today and found 3 in very pretty areas. I love it that I get to see these new places just a few miles from my house that I would have never seen otherwise.  It's winter and ugly now but I bet they are quite nice in the summer.  I can't wait till summer now!

OK, this is very addicting! (either that or I have no life!)  I went out today and found 3 more, this time in the City.  Good excercise though!

Holy crap! We've been doing this for ages and still have only found about 4 of them! There aren't very many near me, though.  :-\\\\
