I just about died. My cousin lives in Japan and sends us these kinds of things occasionally. His father (my uncle) is loves this kind of thing. Will definitely forward this to them!

Thanks!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

OMG.
Have you seen the rest of his site?  The whole thing is hysterical!!!  It's loaded with funny (manglished) signs, and writing about being an expat:

Quote
One of the strangest phenomena I've ever experienced myself has got to be Gwailophobia™. I define it as the intense aversion to fellow expats while overseas. There is a moment when you're walking in a foreign country when you see someone from back home or thereabouts and you think, "Oh sh*t."

... and it goes on from there.  HA-sterical.
Thanks for that Leah!!

I have no idea why I found that so amusing, but I couldn't stop laughing and choked on my Chewit.  It was hilarious.

I've seen lots of that type of thing.... but never so many on one menu.

I want some cowboy legs!

My favorite local 'Japlish' is a store sign in Meguro (fashionable district of Tokyo).  They proudly sell 'Jeans for Aggressive Woman'.

I always like the silly Japlish that appears on Japanese sweets/candy and stationery type stuff.

I've been to one Chinese restaurant that had "strange flavored chicken." Yummy! Another time, when I worked in D.C., we went to this upscale Chinese restaurant for a coworker's sendoff lunch. The menus themselves were very expensive and upscale, but when it came to listing, there was a page, respectively, for seafood, vegetarian, beef, pork, and last but certainly not least, "lamp." No one else at the table seemed to notice, so I asked my friend sitting next to me, "What's wrong with this picture?" "I'll have the lamp, but with the lightbulb on the side." :)
