Thought I would post this for anyone trying to find inexpensive airfare between the UK and the US this summer. Yesterday I found an amazing deal on travelocity (
www.travelocity.co.uk) between Heathrow and LAX via Dublin on Aer Lingus for August. The total cost came out to £395 including taxes for a roundtrip ticket inclusive of all taxes and fees. What's better is, the long haul leg between Dublin and LA in both directions is Business Class. Other airlines are charging upwards of £600 for this route on the same dates for an Economy ticket. Aer Lingus fly to NY, Chicago, and a few other US cities but I'm not sure if this sale applies to those routes as well. Travelocity must have gotten a block of these tickets as this fare is not available via the airline's website directly.
I am curious about one thing though... has anyone flown Aer Lingus business class recently? Is it any good or is it little more than nicer Economy?
