I go back home to Cali twice a yr for 4 wks at a time for the past 4 yrs and my hubby n I travel all over Cali.

I would definately say if u have the time do the PCH/1 from San Luis Obispo to San Fran, but remember not at night, very hairy, lol.  Definately dont miss the Monterey Bay Aquarium and thier rest. is awesome and very reasonable.  Just go before the dinner hour/crowd, then u will get a table by the windows and they supply binoculars and a chart to view the wild life in the bay.  Dont miss the vistor center turn off for the Golden Gate Bridge.  If u have lots of valuables I wud definately look for hotel with secure parking.

Tryin to think of things not mentioned so far.  In LA theres the Angel Flight Funicular worlds shortest railway up the hill.  LaBrea tar pits museum, Griffith Observatory (if it has re-opened yet), Grumanns/manns chinese theater hollywood, LA Zoo, Fishermanns Village Marina Del Rey, venice/muscle beach, ...

Laura :)
