My recipe is fairly ad hoc so it won't be the same every time, but usually includes: Heinz baked beans (since you can't get pork-n-beans here), chopped onion, brown sugar, chopped bacon, mustard, salt & pepper -- I usually chuck in some ketchup or BBQ sauce. I think it's better to bake them (I use a Pyrex casserole) at a lower heat for a longer period of time, and you kind of have to adjust it depending on if you like your baked beans to be on the drier or soupier side.
DH thought these were just the best ever! Definitely puts plain ole beans on toast to shame, anyway - no matter how tasty & comforting they may be.
He especially liked them when I made BBQ ribs to go with them (dry spice rub + BBQ sauce). My in-laws also loved my baked beans, but I had to leave the bacon out (for MIL).
