Venice Recommendations
« on: April 14, 2007, 02:11:01 PM »
We spent Easter weekend in Venice and I wanted to share some recommendations for anyone planning to travel there.

Hotel - Casa del Melograno
A small hotel, with two friendly, helpful owners (a young couple) that speak English very well.  It's located just off the Grand Canal, very close to a vaporetto stop, but also only a few minutes walk from the train station.

Tours -
Original Venice Walking Tour

Tours are given by native English speakers, expats who now live in Venice.

Thanks, KK - my husband and I are going on a Europe trip next month and Venice is our second stop. Our hotel is booked but I will definitely keep the other things in mind!
Who ate all the pies?

I just thought of one other thing.  I'd highly recommend watching the BBC series Francesco's Venice before visiting.  We rented it through Amazon.co.uk.
