Another vote for sliced brussel sprouts fried up with bits of bacon!  Yum!!!

Also, IMO, the best sprouts are the freshest sprouts - fresh from being still attached to their big club-like stalk.  The longer they are away from that, the nastier they are -- which is why I used to hate brussel sprouts (and still do if they're not fresh, or worse - frozen, etc).

But I'm vegetarian!! I wonder if it would work with Baco bits? what am I saying!! I know I still won't like them, but I'll try anything once.

I haven't tried that but if they still smell the same I don't think it will help me!

the longer they cook, the worse they smell.
therefore the best way is to quickly pan fry them in hot oil or butter... really quickly!

We've been doing a mini veg box weekly from River Nene for the last 3 weeks.  Added some fruit as well.  Pleased with the quality and it's made us be a bit more creative.  Today Alex made a lovely bake with chicken, macaroni, cheese sauce, and leeks and cauliflower from the box.  The other night he did a stir fry and we used carrots, shallot, and bok choy.

I almost signed up for a veg. box scheme, but I realized I would really miss those frequent trips to my local greengrocer's. I'd miss the good advise and the general chit chat, and most of the produce comes from just a mile or so away.
