house contents insurance how much does it cost?
« on: May 02, 2007, 05:44:13 PM »
Looking to get house contents insurance we don't need building cover.

We need extra insurance for items we take out of the house.

Wasn't sure what most people pay and what companies have good customer service

I just set up home insurnace literally a few minutes ago with yorkshire bank. Its £102 a year or £8.50 a month for £50,000 cover for contents inside the home. I liked them because of their "no" slogan I've been seeing advertised. Plus they cover £250 free if I need a change of locks, no excess on top of it.
I did have Barclays but didn't like them too much.
If you want items covered outside the home I know theres an additional premium but not sure how much.

also try money supermarket.com. They have great comparisons.
