Hello!
« on: October 27, 2002, 07:41:14 PM »
Hi!  I never know what to say on these things, so I'll just say hello and tell you a bit about myself.  I am the Yankee half in this UKYankee marriage.  Hubby is a Yorkshireman, daughter is both.  Also have a dog and cat (both English).  I am a trainee Spanish/French teacher (decided it was time for a career change). ;D

I live in Doncaster.  If anyone is in the Doncaster-Sheffield-York-Rotherham area, please get in touch!

Hi Peaches!

Welcome! :)
If you haven't already, you'll find that everyone here is very friendly.
I take it you have adjusted well to living in the UK?
Also, the best of luck to you on your career move. :)

Looking forward to seeing you around!!

Hi Peaches, great to meet you!  Welcome to the site.  ;)

Seven years, huh?  Wow.  I'm sure you'll have some good tips for those of us still struggling to adjust a bit.  (I've been here a year and a half and still have bad days, so any help I can get is most welcome still!)

Great to have you here!

Hey there hi there ho there.  :D  Welcome to the site!

Is it difficult becoming a spanish/french teacher?  were you already tri-lingual and now getting certification or what?  I'm currently learning Japanese and think I'll return to Spanish or possibly German next.  (leaning more towards German I think).

Welcome peaches,

nice to meet you...  I have not been here for a few days...  so please excuse my delay in welcoming you.

I will be living a bit north of you (northumberland)...  my fiance loves York and is looking forward to showing the area off to me.  I am looking forward to many years of getting acquainted with all areas of the UK.
