Stainless steel and rusting
« on: June 03, 2007, 06:09:30 PM »
I have a set of knives we got for the wedding last year that have small signs of rusting on the handles.  They are all stainless steel and while they are not very expensive, they are not cheap either.  I was under the impression that stainless steel didn't rust!  So, is there anything I can do to prevent any further rusting?  TIA

I don't know if they have it in the UK, but have you tried Bar Keeper's Friend? It's worked great on keeping my stuff looking new and it's supposed to help with rust.
