Choosing between 2 moving companies
« on: July 16, 2007, 08:35:13 PM »
Has anyone had any experience with moving their things from California to the UK with either of these movers:

Southern Winds International

or

Rainier Overseas and Moving Star as their local movers

Just wanted some feedback. My quotes have been fairly similiar from both and hopig to find some advice to help make the decision!

Thanks,
Cherisse Evans

To give you some reviews from people who have used those 2 companies, check out www.movingscam.com and go to the message board and then look under reviews of international movers.  Good information on that website and a good place to put feedback as well when you are done with your move for others to see.

look like rainier and southerwinds are both companies endorsed by movingscam.com (based on positive response in their forums).

that site is really useful--has excellent tips on how to find a reputable mover, etc.  there's a forum for international moves here:

(I expect you've already found it!)
