Possibily moving to the Ayrshire area of Scotland
« on: June 02, 2007, 12:35:05 AM »
I am not necessarily new, I have been on here before when we thought we were moving to the Dundee/Perth area of Scotland. Unfortunately, we had a change of plans when my son had some medical issues that needed to be addressed (he is fine now). We may now have another chance to move to Scotland, this time in the Ayrshire area. If we go, my husband will be working in Kilmarnock. Does anyone have any advice or information on the area? Were would be a nice place to live? We have 2 kids who will be turning 4 & 6 in the next couple of months. So we are interested in a place with great schooling systems. Also, what is the cost of living like? Any advice or ideas would be great!

Thanks,
Cari

There are threads on the board about housing and cost of living...your best bet is to post there and hope some of our Scottish expats spot them!
