i didn't realise that
not rinsing dishes was a "British thing". i just thought my husband was lazy!
i think it pisses him off when he does the occasional load of dishes, and i start grabbing stuff and rinsing it! i, too, have poured a glass of water/coke into a non-rinsed glass and soap bubbles have formed on top! that's nasty!

okay, i realise that the UK dish soaps are less concentrated than the US brands that i am used to, but still...

its just gross not to rinse the bubbles off. if you leave the water on a low flow, or turn it on and off to rinse, how much does that really cost?

not very much!
my name is Angel. and i am a rinser.
