State taxes - part year resident.

Anyone know if its normal procedure to put FC when it asks what state you lived in besides the state you are filing for (asks for two letter abbrev.)?  The next line will allow me to type United Kingdom, but turbo tax won't let me bypass the two letter abbreviation box.

It really depends on which form & which State.  You'll probably be safest to read up their instructions on this.

Of course you shouldn't be scared of handwriting something in too, or even using Tippex if the software won't do what you think it should...
