Do people in England play Volleyball????

I am moving early next year, but play v-ball pretty much all year round here.  Sand in the summer and indoor in the winter.  But in all the times I've been to England I have NEVER heard anyone talk about it, or read anything about it.  I'm afraid that I'm going to miss my favorite game!!!  I'm really hoping for a club or something to join, or possibly assist with a league.  Any info??+

I've seen kids playing around playing volleyball, but never anyone serious about it playing in the UK.


But then I have a major fear of volleyball. (The last time I ever played I got hit in the head with the ball so hard that I was out cold for a few minutes....  )

I love volleyball and looked into getting on a team as soon as I got here last summer.  Unfortunately, I only found teams at one place - the University of Birmingham.  You don't have to be a college student to join, however everyone was very young.  I didnt play long because in addition to feeling ancient at age 28, it was pretty unstructured (no setters, we just rotated through all the positions...it had been ten years since I played like that).  Could just be where I'm at though, hope you have better luck!

Great.....That's a bit of a downer!  I was really hoping hat I'd be able to get on a team or something!  I'll have to scour the area when we actually move and see what is around!
