What is Steveage like?

Greetings Everyone,

My boyfriend mentioned that he wanted to look at houses in Steveage, what is it like? I get to visit next in September. 

Is it Stevenage you mean?
Im only pointing out the spelling because if you're googling it, you probably wont get much info coming up if you dont spell it correctly.

A friend of mine just moved there and she likes it, but after only 3 months is already weary of the long journey to her job in London.

I'm looking at apartments in the Stevenage area. After talking to a few friends who told me that Stevenage is a little dodgy in some parts, I decided to look at Letchworth and Hitchin, but I'm only commuting to Arlesey for work. I suggest taking a trip over and checking out the area or having a friend or relative take a look for you before deciding to settle. hope that helps.
