Condenser dryer on carpet?
« on: July 14, 2007, 07:48:00 AM »
We just got a new condenser dryer, which I'm loving, but it's really loud and currently in our living room.  There's no room in the kitchen, so the only other option is one of our bedrooms...is it ok to have a condenser dryer on carpet?

At our old place we had our dryer in the dining room (of all places!) and it was on carpet there for about a year - no problems.

I cant see any reason it might be a problem.

I think you should be fine - our condenser dryer is in the dining room (on laminate flooring) and the only place I've noticed a bit of condensation (other than the water tank thingy) is along the top of the door when it's open.  Nothing on the floors at all. :)

Thank you - hubby and I just moved it to the spare bedroom!  It feels so strange to be using a dryer again for the first time in over a year...and to actually be able to walk into that spare room without having to navigate a maze of drying racks!

Depends on the carpet.  ;)  I'd suggest raising it of the ground with bricks, but you may be fine without doing that.
Ask and ye shall be babbled at.
