Travelling together what to say?
« on: April 19, 2004, 05:33:28 AM »
Hi all.
I love this forum its so informative and insiteful.
OKAY so reading the thread " what is the nature of ur trip" or whatever. OMG  like dont u HATE THAT QUEstION?
Well my bf and i were gonna travel together back to London  this summer so i could stay for like 3 months or whatnot.  1 . i loved it there and i was only there for 5 days. I visited just to see if i liked it and i really did. I love him to bits as well. It was our first meeting and its going well let me tell u.. But  has anyone traveled with thier loved one when not  the fiance of?
I am wondering what do we say when they ask who i am visiting. Obviously him and his family. Can anyone tell me what that's gonna look like. I mean if i cant say he is my boyfrien what do i do? or is it not wise to travel togehter?
and also.. I  said i was visiting my PEN PAL the last time.  The most NERVE racking  part of the whole damn trip is what to say isnt it! ? like come on i am on vacation here.

Just tell them you are visiting your friend if you want to keep things simple. Otherwise say boyfriend. They are more likely to ask more questions at that but you aren't doing anything illegal. They may ask you to show your return plane ticket and want to know how much money you have to spend. Of course you can travel with him except to countires that require you to get a visa prior to entering it (which is not anything in the European Union).
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon
